Checks
on raw materials:
Cergomma's quality and constant final product
characteristics start with tests on the raw materials used,
which must be suitable for the production of rubber for ceramic
tile punches pressing.
To achieve this, precise parameters are set, such as the viscosity
of the polyurethane (which is cross-checked with the aid of
a viscometer compliant with the iso 289-1/2/3/4 standard), and
the dispersibility or reactivity of the powders (fillers).
Additional specific measures are taken to ensure that they give
the best results in the compound.
Checks
on the final product:
A 10x10 cm vulcanised specimen is moulded for each lot number
produced
To allow visual inspection of the surface and ensure that it
is free from contaminants or depressions, or at least that any
minor flaws can be considered acceptable.
Hardness
is tested on samples with an automatic shore A hardness unit.
The standard analysis method used for the hardness test is the
iso 868 standard, with shore A hardness measured at 3 seconds.
The value taken to establish the suitability of the compound
is the average of 5 hardness tests on the same specimen.
The
rheometric curve of the lot, used to monitor the rubber’s
performance during vulcanisation, is also measured on specimens.
The instrument used is an moving die (md) rheometer compliant
with the iso 6502 standard.
All the instruments, regularly calibrated, are controlled by
pc and the relative reports are held on file for at least three
months after the individual batch's production date.
The acceptability criteria the customer should expect are stated
in the relative instructions, which form part of the Cergomma
integrated quality/environment management system and can be
requested to the environmental quality manager.
The
final inspection, covering the dimensions, the thickness, the
weight and the conditions of the packaging itself are recorded
and the lot number is placed on the packaging; the relative
document is then signed by the operative who carried out the
procedure.
The cergomma customer will find a numbered “quality tested”
label or sticker on each pack, the number, from "1"
to "1000", identifies the individual lot and ensures
the complete traceability of the material supplied.
